Wow! What a year 2020 was! I have been alive for almost 40 years and can think of no year as crazy for my life, my family’s life, or my company’s life than 2020. We were so very fortunate that our state did not mandate that we halt our business. The nature of tree service has us outside and we naturally socially distance for safety even when there isn’t a pandemic. Because of that, we were able to stay in business.
I have many friends and family who run tree services further west and they were not so lucky. Many of them have shut down permanently. It is truly sad. We have been so thoroughly blessed at Paulding Arbor Solutions and we can’t think the lovely people of Dallas and Hiram enough for their support during this challenging time.
And with all of that, 2020 was our biggest year by far. We are growing as a tree service and that is because of our tireless commitment to quality that many tree “companies” do not provide. And people in Paulding County have begun to recognize that.
A lot can be said for how fast Hiram is growing as well. Everywhere we seem to drive in Hiram, there is construction taking place. The same can be said of Dallas. And so it brings us great joy to see our lovely town of Hiram growing the way it is. We can probably attribute our own growth as a company on the growth of Hiram.
And now that we are growing, it is important for us to educate the people of Hiram about what to look for in a quality tree service company. There are dozens and dozens of our “competitors” out there that are simply a guy in a truck who claims he can safely drop a tree and remove it for you. Take great caution when dealing with these types of tree services.
- You want to ensure that they are licensed. Licensure for a tree service tells you the client that the company you are dealing with knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to safety around your home. Safety for their workers and safety for you and what means most to you.
- You want to ensure that they are ensured. Insurance is also important because it means that in the unfortunate case of an accident, you are not left footing the bill. While we haven’t seen it many times, there have been cases where we have been called in to do damage control where someone hired a “guy with a chainsaw” and it resulted in tons of damage. Ultimately the homeowner is stuck with covering this because many homeowner’s policies won’t cover the damages if you hire someone who isn’t licensed. So please, at least make sure your tree service meets this demand.
While we always seek to be the tree removal service you choose, it is far more important to us that you are educated when it comes to selecting a company. There is nothing more disheartening for us than when we are called in after the fact to clean up the mess of someone who just didn’t know what they were doing and it ends up costing you double (or more!).
We care deeply about Hiram and Dallas and even more so about the people who live here. You are our neighbors and we want you to have all the information at your disposal before making a big decision about what tree care company to go with.
